Under 13 Leopards
Our Under 13 Leopards are managed by Chris, who leads the team with a strong focus on developing players as they continue to grow and progress in their football journey. At this stage, players are building on their foundations, with increased emphasis on fitness, passing, and positional play as their understanding of the game continues to develop.
Training sessions are designed to challenge players in a positive and supportive environment, helping them improve their technical skills, decision-making, and overall awareness on the pitch. As they get older, greater importance is placed on teamwork, game intelligence, and playing effectively within a structured team system.
The team competes in league fixtures, with home matches typically played on Sundays. Kick-off times may vary depending on the opposition and pitch availability, and occasionally some fixtures may take place on Saturday mornings.
Training takes place every Tuesday evening, with arrangements adjusted depending on the time of year:
- April – October: 5:30pm – 6:30pm on the grass pitches at Colne Valley High School
- Winter months: 7:00pm – 8:00pm on the 4G pitch
These sessions combine technical drills, fitness work, and game-based play to support continued development in a fun and engaging way.
What to Bring
Players should come prepared to both training and matches with:
- Football boots (or trainers for indoor sessions, if required)
- Shin pads (mandatory for all sessions)
- Appropriate clothing suitable for the weather conditions
- A drink to stay hydrated
- Any necessary medication (e.g. inhalers), clearly labelled and accessible
