Building on Our Return — Open Age Football at Linthwaite Continues to Grow

After successfully reintroducing our Open Age side last season, we’re proud to be pushing on into year two — stronger, more organised, and ready to build on the foundations we’ve put in place.

Bringing Open Age football back after more than seven years was a huge moment for the club. Now, the focus shifts to progression, consistency, and taking the next step forward both on and off the pitch.

Developing Our Pathway

Our return season marked the completion of a full player pathway — from juniors right through to adult football — and this remains at the heart of what we’re building.

With another year ahead, we’re giving players even more opportunity to develop, compete, and stay connected to the club as they progress. Backed by a committed coaching setup, we’re focused on helping players improve, grow in confidence, and enjoy their football in a positive, competitive environment.

Pushing On This Season

As we head into the new campaign in the Calder Valley Sunday League, the aim is clear — to build on last year’s progress and raise standards across the board.

We’re looking to strengthen the squad, increase competition for places, and create a team capable of competing week in, week out. Alongside that, we’re continuing to build a culture based on commitment, hard work, and enjoyment — where everyone plays their part.
