🧑‍🎓 Player Support

  • Communication-Focused Training: Regular sessions throughout the season will focus on improving communication, both on and off the pitch. These sessions will highlight the importance of teamwork and mental wellbeing.
  • Access to Support: Each player will receive documentation outlining who the club’s coaches and officers are, and how to reach out for support when needed.
  • Mental Health First Aid: All coaches will complete Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training to better support players in times of need.

🧑‍🏫 Coaches Support

  • Support Awareness: Coaches will attend sessions that raise awareness of external support services and how the club can assist during challenging times.
  • Seasonal Meetings: These sessions will be delivered during full coaches meetings held at key points throughout the season.
  • Team Building: Activities will be organized to strengthen relationships among coaching staff, reinforcing the club’s “one team” ethos.
  • Visible Resources: MHFA contacts and support services will be clearly listed in club areas to guide anyone seeking help.

👨‍👩‍👧 Parents Support

  • Service Awareness: Informal sessions will be held to introduce parents to available support services for both themselves and their children.
  • Meet the Team Night: Before the season begins, families will be invited to a relaxed evening where parents and children can meet their coaching teams.
  • Financial Assistance: The club will collaborate with local food banks and explore funding options to help cover costs for kit and subs when needed.
  • Boot Box Initiative: A collection of pre-loved boots and kits will be available for families who may struggle to afford new gear as children grow.
  • Individual Support: Parents will also be made aware of services that can support them personally, beyond their role as caregivers.
Email Us

Regular catch ups via newsletter email to share wins and target achievements. Each teams letter can also be published on social media.

We also hope that we can liaise with Andys Man Club to look at establishing a group in Colne Valley somewhere and be proactive around promoting this to our parents, carers and coaches.
