Under 12 Lynx
Our Under 12 Lynx team is managed by Dean and Richard, who lead a committed and enthusiastic group of players. At this stage of their development, the focus is on helping players continue to grow both technically and tactically, while also building confidence and understanding of the game.
Training sessions are designed to support this progression, with increased emphasis on fitness, passing, and positional awareness. As players mature, they are encouraged to develop their decision-making, teamwork, and overall game intelligence, all within a positive and supportive environment where enjoyment remains a key priority.

The team competes in league fixtures, with home matches typically played on Sundays. Kick-off times may vary depending on opposition and pitch availability, and occasionally fixtures may also be scheduled on Saturday mornings.
Training takes place every Tuesday evening, with seasonal adjustments:
- April – October: 5:30pm – 6:30pm on the grass pitches at Colne Valley High School
- Winter months: 7:00pm – 8:00pm on the 4G pitch
Each session combines technical drills, fitness work, and game-based scenarios to ensure players continue to develop in a fun, engaging, and challenging setting.
What to Bring
To ensure players can participate safely and comfortably, they should bring:
- Football boots (or trainers for indoor sessions, if required)
- Shin pads (mandatory for all training sessions and matches)
- Appropriate clothing suitable for the weather conditions
- A drink to stay hydrated
- Any necessary medication (e.g. inhalers), clearly labelled and accessible
