Player Support

Training sessions in the season geared around how we communicate, using both on pitch and off pitch examples. Communication is key in terms of teamwork and mental health. Documents sent to every player of the coaches/officers within the club and how they can speak to someone if they need to. Coaches to undertake some Mental Health first aid training.

Coaches Support

Awareness sessions around external support available and how the club can support them in times of need. Above will be delivered in full coaches meeting at various points in the season. Team building sessions to allow for coaching teams to be familiar with each other. 1 club all together. A list of MHFA & Services are available in club areas highlighting where people go when they are struggling.

Parents

Awareness sessions around services available to support them and their child. “Meet the team” night held before season starts where the parents & kids meet their coaching teams. Really informal. Work closely with Food banks and find funding available for subs/kit etc in times of need. Boot box and old kit available for those who may not be afford to buy new boots each time their child grows. Awareness sessions around services available to help them as individuals.

Regular catch ups via newsletter email to share wins and target achievements. Each teams letter can also be published on social media.

We also hope that we can liaise with Andys Man Club to look at establishing a group in Colne Valley somewhere and be proactive around promoting this to our parents, carers and coaches.
