About Us

THE CLUB

In the tots and mini soccer teams, we aim to provide each player with the same amount of game time regardless of their ability and help each individual to strive and improve their technical skills with every session.

With the cost of football in general going up, we try to keep our subs low to cover the cost of purchasing new equipment, playing kit, training facilities and making sure everybody receives the same. We run regular fundraisers to help raise much needed funds to keep the club going also.

HISTORY

Linthwaite Junior Football Club (Linthwaite Football Club as it is now) was formed in 1984 to provide the village of Linthwaite with junior football that was accessible to children who wanted to play. In the last few years, we have finally returned football ,'back home' and we are now based at Colne Valley High School which means we're more accessible to the local children.

This is still going strong today with 19 teams ranging from Tots & girls right through to under 18's. We have recently added Pan-Disbility sessions to help engage more people in the community.

COMMITTEE

We are extremely lucky to have a great number of volunteers to make up the back bone of the club and help take it through to the future to provide football in Linthwaite.

Without these people, the club would simply not exist and football would be no more.

Now that the club is heading in a more positive direction, the future is extremely bright looking ahead.
